Our Commitment to Transparency

At Quest Compassionate Education, we believe that transparency is the foundation of trust. We are committed to being open, honest, and accountable in everything we do, from how we allocate funds to how we partner with local communities. Transparency ensures that we stay true to our mission and values while building strong relationships with our supporters, donors, and the communities we collaborate with.

Registered Charity

The Charity Commission for England and Wales recognised that Quest Compassionate Education has been established for charitable purposes only for the public benefit. On 27th January 2025, Quest Compassionate Education was entered onto the Register of Charities with the Registered Charity Number 1211875.

How Funds are Used

We use donations to directly support learning. Funds go toward paying qualified teachers, providing essential educational resources, and covering internet and equipment costs so students can access lessons reliably. A full breakdown will be included in our first annual report.

Governance and Leadership

Quest Compassionate Education is led by a team of dedicated individuals with years of experience in education, community work, and nonprofit management. Our leadership team includes:

  • Rachael Fox-Smith, Learning and Development Manager
  • Laurina Fox-Smith, Creative Content Lead

Together, we oversee the charity’s strategic direction, ensuring that every program and initiative aligns with our mission and values.

Safeguarding

We are committed to providing a safe, supervised, and responsible learning environment for every student. All UK-based teachers are vetted and follow clear safeguarding standards, and every online lesson is overseen by a trusted adult in Cambodia.

Annual Reports and Financials

We are committed to transparency in our financials and will publish an annual report detailing the charity’s financial status, impact, and the outcomes of our programs. Our goal is to provide clear reports on how funds are allocated and provide evidence to show the impact of your donations.

Once our first year of operations is complete, we will release our financial statements and a comprehensive report on our work and progress.

Prevention Through Education

Our work centres on young people in communities that are often left behind. By improving access to education, we support early-stage prevention in communities where poverty, displacement, financial strain, and limited opportunities place young people at risk.

Partnerships and Accountability

We collaborate with local communities, educators, and organisations to achieve our goals. Our partnerships are essential in ensuring the success and sustainability of our programs. By working together, we can maximise our collective impact on education, conservation, and community development in Cambodia.

We are also committed to upholding high standards of accountability and ensuring that every project is carried out ethically and with respect for local cultures and needs.
